So the members’ participation in the
Holy Communion Services was limited to
once a month only. The members also
faced a lot of difficulties in getting
the services of the padre from the
Kuwait city CSI Church. In April
1995, Rev. T.I. George took charge of
the CSI Congregation in Kuwait. When he
realized the difficulties experienced by
the CSI
Community in South
Kuwait, he expressed
a desire to form a
separate
Congregation at
Ahmadi under the
banner of the CSI
rather than that of
MCC. Initially, the
members in the area
were confused as to
whether to go ahead
or not, but God
opened a way. On
23rd Sept. 1995, a
request letter was
dispatched to the
Bishop of the
Central Kerala
Diocese, intimating
our earnest desire
to form a separate
CSI Congregation at
St. Paul’s Church,
Ahmadi with an
attaché of
signatures
of members in the
area. Our request
was granted, and The
Rt. Rev. Sam Mathew,
Bishop in Central
Kerala Diocese
inaugurated the St
Paul’s CSI
Congregation on the
6th Oct. 1995.
Thus
by the Grace and
Blessing of the Lord
Almighty, another
Christian fellowship
in Kuwait officially
came into existence
under the banner of
the CSI and was
affiliated to the
CSI Central Kerala
Diocese. In the foremost General
Assembly held on 3rd Nov 1995, it was
decided to chart a Constitution for the
congregation. After a few months of
discussion, the Constitution Committee
drafted and finalized the Constitution
which was officially approved on 2nd
July 1996 by the Diocese. Ever since
Holy Communion Services are regularly
conducted on first and third Fridays of
every month and normal worship services
on other Fridays of the month. The
Congregation grows strong in spirit and
strength. |
